Andy Sandford

Andy Sandford is a comic who has quickly moved through the ranks of the comedy world. He is a featured guest on the nationally syndicated “Regular Guys“ radio show. Atlantastandsup.com voted Andy "Atlanta's Best Comedian," and he is a founding member of "The Beards of Comedy." He has been revered by many for his exemplary writing skills, and has described himself as a whimsical wordsmith wielding a wheelbarrow's worth of witty wonderment.

Billy Wayne Davis is the thinking man’s hillbilly. With a combination of subtle, disarming intelligence and an unmistakable comfort on stage, he has the rare ability to win over every kind of comedy audience imaginable. After making a name for himself in his homeland of Nashville, TN, he has gone on to perform in virtually every corner of the United States, from the deep south to the “alternative comedy” hotbed of Seatte, WA, which he now calls home.

Brian Bannon

Brian Bannon began writing and performing comedy in and around Atlanta after dropping out of Grad School in the mid-90s. An introvert in an extroverted field, he gravitated towards Atlanta's more eccentric comedy shows at rock clubs and dive bars where intellectual curiosity had to come to terms with anti-authoritarian attitudes. In New York or LA it was called
Alt comedy but in Atlanta it was just an off night between Karaoke and Team Trivia. Now with the Laughing Skull Lounge and a rising crop of new Atlanta comedy nerds he's feeling slightly less out of place.

Bryan Bruner

Bryan Bruner is from Las Vegas.
He now lives in New York and travels the world telling jokes. One time Bryan saved a puppy with his humor, only to have it bite him in the ass. Bryan will never do that again.

Jena Friedman is a comedian/writer/actress based in New York. She can be seen performing in hipster bars and legit comedy clubs around the world and in addition to Laughing Skull, Jena will be featured in the 2010 Glasgow International Comedy Festival in Scotland this March and The Bridgetown Comedy Festival in Portland, Oregon in April. Her comedy has been described as "dark and dry" by other comedians, "edgy" by some industry folk and "cringe inducing" by her biggest fans. In addition, Jena hosts a weekly variety show in the East Village called "Entertaining the Bartender," a goal the show often lives up to.

Joe Raines is an up and coming comedian from Birmingham, Alabama. The son of a preacher, he has an odd outlook on life. and jail. His comedy could be described as; wild, zany, goofy, sarcastic, absurd, caustic, observational, agitated, clever, and self depreciating. He is also very pretty.

After being named Charlotte’s Comedian of the Year by Creative Loafing Magazine in 2006, Joe began touring the country doing what he loves most (that is, driving long distances while listening to self-help books on CD).  Joe has rapidly become known at the National level for his likable stage demeanor and uniquely crafted material.  In 2009 he was nominated by Rooftop Comedy for the Golden Shingle Award - given to the most outstanding rising star in comedy.  In the same year, Punchline Magazine wrote that he was one of the top comics to emerge from the NC Comedy Arts Festival.  When Joe is not on the road solo, he tours with the Beards of Comedy.

John Betz Jr

John was voted Carolina's Funniest Comic in 2009.  His show has been described as "original, well-written material with killer delivery, impeccable timing and cleverly-placed voice inflections that entertain audiences to the point where they might wet themselves".  His stories of being a math teacher, marriage, fatherhood and observational humor are easily relatable.  Over the course of his life, John has made hundreds of thousands of people laugh, most of whom did so because they saw his show.

Josh Gondelman

Drawing from his experiences as a preschool teacher and a pretty good guy, Josh Gondelman charms audiences with his good-natured storytelling and cracks them up with his sharp, pointy wit.  Josh's comedy touches on topics from rainbows to gangsta rap and makes them all equally hilarious thanks to his terrific writing and performing.  In 2008, Josh was named to the Best of the Fest showcase at the Boston Comedy Festival, and in 2009 he competed in the prestigious Seattle International Comedy Competition.  He is pleased to meet you!

Josh Harris

The last few years have brought meteoric rise to young Atlanta comedian Josh Harris. He won the title of Atlanta’s Funniest Person by Dave FM in 2008 and a year later he was a finalist on TV One’s Who’s Got Jokes. Receiving a standing ovation after only three short minutes, he was the only Caucasian in the show’s four year history to make it past the first round. Riding the tide of these monumental achievements, NBC recently flew him to LA to compete in the finals of the nationwide talent search “Stand Up for Diversity,” which showcased the countries ten freshest comedians at The Comedy Store.

Jullian McCullough

Julian McCullough is a comedian. He is also very mature for his age and seriously has it together. He has taped a half hour special for Comedy Central that airs in March of this year, as well as several programs on the VH1 and the MTV. In 2007 he performed as part of the Montreal Comedy Festival's New Faces showcase and in 2008 he came in first at the New York Comedy Festival. Julian also has some big things coming up that he can't talk about yet but thinks you might also be prefect for.

Karl Hess

Shortly after graduating USC, Karl exploded onto the LA stand-up scene with the force of, at least, like, 75 M-80s. He is now a regular at the top shows in town, and has performed at clubs, colleges and festivals all over the country, including Comix in New York and the Bridgetown Comedy Festival in Portland in 09 to which he will be returning this year. Karl also produces and hosts his own show, The Sunday Sunday Sunday Show, which regularly features the finest stand-up talent in the city and has been hailed as one of the best underground shows in LA. He also has a pretty solid afro.

Lavar Walker

My name is LaVar Walker I'm a comedian origianlly from the southside of Chicago currently living in Atlanta, Georgia. In my five year comedy career Ive appeared on Bet's comic view, Jamie Foxxs Laffapalooza and Robert townsends Partners n crime. I've performed at various colleges and universities all over the country and I am currently touring with nationally headlining comedian Rickey Smiley. I'm also the only comedian in the country with a Doctorate degree in pharmacy.

I'm originally from Chicago, but now live in Los Angeles, CA.  I started performing stand-up comedy after receiving my M.A. in Counseling/Psy from Ball State.  I took second place in the San Francisco Comedy Competition and have appeared on "Comics Unleashed with Byron Allen " and hosted MTV's "Sports Blender."

Matt Bergman has been working clubs and colleges since he graduated from College with a degree in Criminal Justice. Quickly realizing he was scared of criminals, he decided to pursue a career in comedy and hasn't looked back since. He has performed with Dave Attell, Jeffrey Ross, Bill Burr, and Jon Lovitz. He has also opened for Mike Birbiglia on numerous occasions, including the Comedy Central Live Tour.

Originally from the east coast, Matt Conty started his comedy career in Denver, CO where he earned a spot on the coveted Comedy Works Roster.   A true comics comic with material to appeal to a wide variety of audiences, Matt’s true skill is creating a dynamic show experience.  Always a crowd pleaser, Matt is quickly becoming a commodity at clubs and colleges throughout the mid-west, featuring in front of some of the best comics in the business.

Mia Jackson

Mia Jackson, a native of Columbus, Georgia is a self proclaimed know it all.  She's also very funny. Mia is a diverse comedienne with a different voice and perspective.  Her energetic conversational style is engaging and audiences feel like they know her. In fact they love to share far too much information with her after shows.  Smart and versatile, Mia can entertain all types of crowds.

Michael Palascak

Michael Palascak (Pal-a-sack) has been seen on Season 3 of Comedy Central’s Live at Gotham and most recently TBS’ The Very Funny Show hosted by Tim Meadows.  In 2008, he performed in New Faces at the Montreal Just For Laughs Festival and in 2007 was the winner of the Lucky 21 Contest at The Comedy Festival.  And he was the Chicago Reader’s Best of Chicago ’08--Stand-up Critic’s Pick.  And his sketch “My Name is America” has been featured numerous times on Funny or Die.

Mike Trainor

Mike Trainor, originally from West Orange, New Jersey is everywhere these days, less than two years after quitting his day job and pursuing comedy full time. Thai Rivera

A regular at the world-famous Laugh Factory, Thai Rivera performs standup comedy throughout the United States and around the world.  Thai has worked with Jo Koy, Russell Peters, and Marga Gomez and he's entertained everywhere from U.S. military bases to Gay Pride events.   In 2009, Instinct magazine profiled Thai as an entertainer to watch.  Thai's TV appearances include Comedy Central's Live at Gotham and One Night Stand-Up on the Logo Network.

TJ Young

Walt Whitman famously quipped "I am large. I contain multitudes."  This could easily be said about TJ Young...and no, that's not just a fat joke.  A seamless amalgam of laid-back and energetic, TJ's light-hearted absurdities continue to impress audiences nationwide.  His stand up performances have earned him awards at both the Aspen Rooftop Comedy Festival and the Laugh Your Asheville Off Comedy Festival.  Currently, TJ can be seen performing to sold-out crowds as a founding member of the acclaimed "Beards of Comedy" (Rooftop Comedy Records / 2009).

Tom Simmons

Tom Simmons is a damned good comedian.  He is the winner of this years San Francisco Comedy Competition.   He takes being funny extremely serious.  He writes constantly.  His material is always up to date, relevant, and hilarious.  If you come see him perform comedy you will have a great time- end of story.
